Hanging Gardens of Arabia, The
- Synopsis
- Set in the arid highlands of the Yemen, tells how local farming communities have maintained and age-old system of terrace farming that has prevented the drought and famine experienced in neighbouring countries. Examines the precipitous collapse of this system through environmental degradation and points to efforts being made by the local communities to restore the fertility of the land.
