Dna Sequencing Using M13
- Synopsis
- Explains how to sequence long stretches of DNA using phage or plasmid DNA as a vehicle, or vector, for the selection and analysis of individual fragments of the DNA of interest. The enzymatic method of sequencing (called the chain terminator or dideoxy method) is featured and the bacteriophage M13 is used as a cloning vehicle. Illustrates the life cycle of M13, the M13 cloning method, sequencing with M13 and subsequent analysis.
