Synopsis
Alan Stanton and Paul Williams discuss their work on the Millennium Seed Bank, a Kew Gardens extension in Sussex. Here seeds from around the world are collected, cleaned, x-rayed, germinated, flowered and grown. The seed bank itself is buried beneath the ground, with the laboratories above ground in full view from a central winter garden. They discuss their approach to their work and also other projects which have included major exhibitions, large office buildings and and art gallery.
