Protein Gel Electrophoresis
- Synopsis
- Separating different-sized proteins by electrophoresis is a very common method for characterising recombinant proteins. Shows the preparation of a basic denaturing discontinuous gel. In a separate experiment, commercially prepared gels are used to electrophorese proteins from different stages of purification. Gels stained by various methods are then shown.
