Play synopsis

A play which was part of a campaign to improve conditions in prison. ‘Having suddenly fallen in love with a married woman, William Falder, a law-clerk, tries to obtain money - by forging a cheque - in order to take her to South America. But he is arrested and sent to prison - and solitary confinement . . .' (source: Radio Times, 1 Janaury 1960, p. 1[3?]).
