Play synopsis: The life story of the saint adapted from a 15th-century manuscript. The play takes place at Bernard’s home by the Lake of Annecv in Savoy, on the St. Bernard Pass. and at the Monastery of Aosta by the foot of the mountains.
Production history: First performed in August 1924 before the Castle of Menthon, near Annecy, under the auspices of the Society for Millenary Celebrations of St Bernard. Also produced in England by the Birmingham Repertory Company and at the Kingsway Theatre, London.
