Summary
The 8th Army prepare for the big attack on the Mareth Line. British troops prepare weapons and ammunition. Hurricane planes warm up. Sherman tanks carry troops across desert. While this frontal attack on Mareth is being executed, Montgomery switches a further concentration on El Hamma so tricking Rommel. The success of this movement began the link up between the 8th Army and the Americans penetrated to Sened. Then came the fall of Maknassy and Rommel’s road of retreat northwards became narrower still. The entry into Mareth is yet another foothold for the 8th Army in Tunisia.
