Summary
The Port of Bougie lying 120 miles East of Algiers is another of the ports which fell under allied control during the North African campaign. Bougie’s proximity to Tunisia made it a key point in the allied plan. Fighting takes place as troops disembark from landing craft. Troop and cargo ships are hit during off-shore battle and crews are rescued.
