Summary
Mrs Henry Kaiser launches ship which has been built in her husband’s dockyard in 18 days. The bottle is smashed at the second attempt. The keel of another ship is automatically put into position when this one is launched. At another US shipyard the battleship "Iowa" is launched. 400 WAACS (Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps)receive their commissions as Officers. After the WAACS the WAVES (equivalent to our WRENS) face the camera. 26 year old Russian girl Miss Pavlechencko is the guest of the Soviet Ambassador in Washington. This girl is credited with killing 309 German soldiers. New 2,000 pound block buster bomb on test range being dropped from bomber - filmed from a mile away.
