- Summary
- Arrival in Moscow of Mr Churchill. On leaving plane he is greeted by Mr Molotov. Averell Harriman (in Churchill’s party) and Sir Alexander Cadogan. Mr Churchill makes short speech in which he says "We will continue hand in hand whatever our sufferings whatever our toils ..." Harriman echoes the same words. Then off in a motorcade down Gorky Street to meet Stalin, and the group pose together. Elsewhere in Russia the war continues and munitions factories maintain their output. At Moscow Airport the four day visit comes to to an end and Mr Churchill and his party board their Liberator plane to head back to Cairo and then on to Britain.
