Summary
The eight thousand hp B19 takes off from March Field, California, dwarfing her escort planes. The interior of the biggest bombing plane in the world houses its radio operator in positive luxury while the power control cabin has a crew to itself. [77 ft] In Baltimore a 67 ton Martin flying boat is launched and christened "Mars". 150 soldiers can be transported several thousand miles in this monster flying boat. [55 ft] The Hurricane Fighter-Bombers (The Hurri-bomber) demonstrates its bombing technique. The bombs can be fused by the pilot to explode at any given moment after impact. Before the bombs explode the plane is sweeping round to attack with machine-gun fire.
