Summary
American troops in Iceland have settled in and we see them clad in Arctic uniforms. They have brought their equipment with them transported by their many merchantships. One of these ships, the "Kearney", falls victim to a German submarine and is seen being supported by a sister ship on her way in. Back on the island the American troops do their weekly wash by one of the hot springs, they are also seen queuing for their pay.
