Summary
The eyes of the world turn to Singapore, on the news of the formation of pro-Japanese/Vichy regime in Indo-China. Food and munitions pour in over Singapore’s waterfront from Australia, India and America. Buffalo aircraft arrive from USA and in return the cargo boats laden with rubber and tin return to the US. 95% of the world’s rubber supply comes from this area and two thirds of the world’s tin is mined in Malaya. Should a campaign be fought, a new fighting science must be devised for jungle warfare, and with Australian troops arriving, the British and Indian garrisons already stationed there will be reinforced. Fighting with them in the jungle will be the Sakai, the nomadic tribe who use poison blow-darts when fighting.
