Summary
Flashback of cargo boat "Port Bowen" which was grounded off New Zealand before the war. Her cargo was removed but the wreck of the ship was left owing to the outbreak of war. Now in 1941 she is being broken up for scrap which is needed for the New Zealand war effort.
