Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Jewish Refugees in China. DESCRIPTION: Jewish refugees swell the numbers in Shanghai’s International settlement. SHOTLIST: Arriving on the Conte Biancamano are 900 German Jewish refugees, destined for Shanghai, already overcrowded by war refugees. They leave the boat by a tender and pass the old Japanese cruiser "Idzumo". They are loaded into trucks and taken to the town where they are provided with food. After their meal, they ride and slide down a childrens’ play chute.
