Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Combined Fleet Manoeuvres. DESCRIPTION: The Combined Fleet on manoeuvres. SHOTLIST: The Combined Fleet sails from Gibraltar for manoeuvres. The vessels steam "line ahead" and among them are "Southampton", "Royal Sovereign", "Resolution", "Nelson", aboard "Glorious", "Swordfish" and "Osprey" machines land and one crashes on the lower deck. The planes take off again flagged away by Commander Willoughby, senior fleet air-arm officer. Captain Lyster is in command of "Glorious". At night parachute flares are dropped to show the whereabouts of the fleet. Destroyers carry out evolutions and among these craft are the new "Tribal" class. From aboard "Barham", "Malaya", "Warspite" and "Ark Royal" are filmed.
