- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Beautification of Ottawa. DESCRIPTION: The Canadian capital prepares for the Royal visit. SHOTLIST: Old Buildings in the Canadian capital are to be replaced by modern structures. In the drawing-shops, work is in progress on the plans while in the city itself the actual work is being carried out. The Peace Tower, of which the Duke of Windsor laid the corner stone, is to be left standing but the Supreme Court building and the residences of the Primes Minister and the Governor General are to be replaced. Meanwhile the war memorial is being surrounded with a stately setting.
