Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Chamberlain in Paris (City Hall). DESCRIPTION: The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary visit Paris. SHOTLIST: Mr and Mrs Chamberlain accompanied by Lord and Lady Halifax are guests at the Paris City Hall where Mr Chamberlain was presented with volumes on old Paris by M Provost de Launsy, President of the Municipal Council. Mr Chamberlain In France - CARD 34943 Mr and Mrs Chamberlain and Lord and Lady Halifax arrive at the Gare du Nord by train and are greeted by M Daladier. The statesmen have talks with the French ministers and then rejoin their wives at the Elysee Palace where they are entertained to luncheon. While the talks were on the wives visited the new Eclode du Puericulture and Les Invalides where they are presented with flowers by General Mariaux.
