MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Roosevelt in Canada. DESCRIPTION: The President and Mr Mackenzie King jointly open the Bridge of a Thousand Islands. SHOTLIST: Aerial shots of the Bridge of a Thousand Islands, and then Roosevelt arriving. He and Mr Mackenzie King. Canada’s Premier, jointly cut the tape, opening the bridge. The President afterwards makes an historic speech, declaring America’s intention to support Canada if she were ever threatened. CU Roosevelt in holiday attire smiling. Good aerial shots over Bridge.
