Summary
In poignant grief - to pay homage at the passing of the victims of the ill-fated R-101. All day - ceaselessly - thousands of high and low degree, paid a last tribute as they lay in state at Westminster Hall. Princes, and people of every land - united in common grief - mourned our dead heroes at St Paul’s - ‘The Empire’s Valhalla’. And so they were bourne, so solemnly, through the stilled heart of the Empire’s capital ... ... to the quiet of ‘God’s Acre’ in the shadow of their aerodrome - Air Minister to humble rigger - united in death, to sleep for ever together!
