Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Derby 1938. DESCRIPTION: The unknown ‘Bois Roussel’ comes through to win, with ‘Scottish Union’ second and ‘Pasch’ third. SHOTLIST: General preliminary shots showing the crowds, bookmakers, tipsters etc. The race itself in which Bois Roussel came from behind to beat Scott Union and Pasch. The King and Queen were accompanied by Queen Mary and the Duke of Kent. Mr P Beatty leads his horse in. C Elliott up. One section is of crowds - elevated shots and elevated shots of the Fair - neg scenes from cuts.
