- Summary
- The Aga Khan’s "Blenheim", the outsider of his two runners, ridden by H Wragg, wins sensational race. "Iliad" second, the favourite, "Didite" 3rd. 17 ran. The great crowd gave the King, accompanied by the Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York and the Duke of Gloucester, a great ‘welcome back’ after his long illness. How "Blenheim" won - a remarkable slow-motion study.
