- Summary
- 10 years after, but first let the Pathe Gazette, for a few brief minutes, conjure up the past. That first "delirious" Armistice Day in 1918 - and that day of joy when our victorious troops passed in triumph - and who shall forget that wonderful Armistice Day when our Unknown Warrior came [home? - illegible]. This year - the 10th anniversary service at the Cenotaph, [illegible] Empire’s proud and solemn thoughts, was not one whit less impressive than the first - at the stroke of 11 o’clock, the heart of Old England stops beating for those two wonderful soul stirring minutes. "At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them". Binyon. The Flowers of Remembrance - and now, Britons all, remember it [illegible] the Navy, the silent Navy, bulwark of our Empire, that made victory possible by holding "the seven seas".
