Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: King George Borne From Sandringham to Westminster. DESCRIPTION: The late King borne from Sandringham to Westminster. SHOTLIST: Shots of the coffin in chapel and estate servants guard same. Shot of the coffin on gun carriage being borne along. This is followed by the Duke of Gloucester, the Duke of York, and King Edward VIII. This is followed by the Queen riding in a closed carriage. The horse of the King follows. Shots of the coffin and the Royal brothers walking along the road. The Duke of Kent and the Earl of Harewood follow. The procession enters the wayside station and the Royal train is seen. At King’s Cross the coffin is taken to the gun carriage and the procession passes through streets followed by the Royal brothers and Earl of Harewood. Elevated shot of the procession passing the Cenotaph. The Queen’s car passes along. Shot of the Union Jack flying at half mast on the Victoria Tower. The procession passes into Westminster Hall and the Royal standard is hoisted in place of the Union Jack.
