NFTVA Silent News Films (1965): "Oregan [sic], USA - Winter’s icy mantle: the great Columbia River freezes over before our eyes, becoming a solid ice pack a mile wide." Shots of the river taken from a boat, showing large expanses of ice drifting together. Two men are seen walking across the river which is by now completely frozen over. (69 feet)
