Summary
NFTVA ‘Silent News Films’ (1965): "Twickenham’s town hall. HRH The Duke of York - accompanied by the Duchess - opens historic york house as the civic building of the new borough." (15 ft.) A procession of closed cars, including the Royal car, driving through the decorated street (21 ft.); the Duke and Duchess alight from their car and are greeted by officials and crowds outside York House (36 ft.). Accompanied by officials, the Duke and Duchess leave the building after the ceremony (44 ft.); the Duke plants a tree (53 ft.); seated, the Royal couple pose for a group photograph with officials. (63 ft.)
