Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Bands Play at London Festival. DESCRIPTION: Competing "teams" from all over country render same test composition at Crystal Palace. SHOTLIST: Panning shot from statue in grounds around the building and ground to the bandstand. Close shot of the bandstand with one band team playing. Close shot of Prehistoric animals fashioned in stone. Shot of three bandsmen looking at music, this may be magazines and not music. Close shot of bandsman. As the music stops they cover ears with hands. Speeded up shots of bandsmen rushing from bandstand and the new team rushing up to same. Shot of the Crystal Palace Tower rocking unsteadily, also the bandstand and the "mike" rocking from side to side.
