Summary
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are met at London Airport by Duke of Gloucester, Earl and Countess Mountbatten, Prime Minister and other statesmen. Salute of fifty-six guns is fired in London and Edinburgh in honour of His Late Majesty. Villagers at Sandringham mourn King, while Queen Mother and Princess Margaret remain in Sandringham House. Proclamation of new Queen is read at four points in London and four in Edinburgh, after which Her Majesty and Prince Philip motor to Sandringham. Pictures of unique historic interest portray life of Queen Elizabeth from birth to present day.
