Summary
King and Queen with other members of Royal Family drive in State from Buckingham Palace to St Paul’s to attend dedication service of Festival of Britain. From steps of Cathedral His Majesty afterwards make inaugural speech. Sub-title Royal Family tour exhibition Next day Their Majesties and Royal party inspect Exhibition at South Bank where Prime Minister, Cabinet Colleagues and Mr Churchill bid them welcome. Fourteen thousand members of the public are on site during Royal visit.
