Summary: This review begins with a short montage of war (hot and cold) and then goes into the following sub-title: so much for the grim aspect of the year. But it was not all gloom. Hence to the bright side we devote this light-hearted recollection of 1950. Beginning with the 100th birthday of Yorkshire mill owner Theodore Taylor the glance back goes to show first babies born in 1950, and taking the theme that these infants are not born into a hopeless world we show the year in its brighter aspects.
