Summary
Outstanding human interest film of whole war. Paramount brings to you the whole moving drama of the prisoners’ return. The landing at Liverpool of eight hundred sick and wounded men, fresh from Nazi captivity, is re-lived on the screen, with all its pathos, humour and deeply emotional atmosphere. Scenes still more touching and exalting are witnessed at Leith. Tommy Trinder, in his best form, entertains a few hundred of the men in a hastily organised concert. Finally, a typical homecoming - a returned prisoner restored in his overjoyed family.
