Summary

The historic return of the Emperor Haile Selassie to his own country was exclusively filmed by British Paramount News cameraman EP Genock. Well known to the Emperor, whom he filmed at his coronation, and throughout the Abyssinian War, Genock was invited to accompany the Emperor on his triumphant return. In view of the importance of these pictures, British Paramount News, with the co-operation of other newsreel companies, has arranged for their widest possible exhibition. Our pictures show: The Emperor during flight to Abyssinia. His landing in Abyssinia. Reception by Abyssinian Guard of Honour. After meal and address of welcome, the Emperor hoists his flag. (included are glimpses of the Abyssinian War)
