Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Prince Unveils the Memorial of Somme Victims. DESCRIPTION: French President assists HRH in revering memory of 737,000 missing who fell on the Somme. SHOTLIST: Shot of the top of the memorial. Prince of Wales with other officers walks toward camera. Prince speaks. Close shot on dais. Close shot of ministers. Close shot of part of memorial with stone wreath, two or three of these shots with a name in each. Memorial showing names of fallen. Various other shots of the memorial. Long shot of cross (Maybe this is the actual memorial. The other building mentioned may be something else.) French soldiers stand to attention at same and the graves of others are beside these. Prince of Wales on dais. Flags are lowered from bearers on steps. The "Last Post" is played as the memorial is unveiled. Three pipers in Scotch dress walk through gateway and between rows of flag bearers. French flag and possibly Union Jack fly from mast on top of building.
