Summary
Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: Payday at Renfrew Works comes and goes so regularly and uneventfully that few realise the extensive organisation and equipment behind the regular payment of over 7,000 employees. Opening with the drawing of the money from a bank under police supervision, this item follows the complex weekly operation of the wages department using modern mechanical methods, and ends with the simulaneous payout in all parts of the works.
