- BFI synopsis: A film looking at the problem of homelessness in the world, particularly amongst refugees. It concentrates largely on the situation in Pakistan, going into the reasons behind the existence of homeless refugees due to political reasons, and shows scenes in various refugee camps, starting in Karachi. Some of the help towards looking after these people and starting new housing and development projects instigated by foreign aid are looked at. The political, economical, and social aspects of Pakistan are also considered, with a hopeful look at developments in land reform, cottage industries and the changing role of women (through the formation of the All Pakistan Women’s Association).
