- Summary
- NoS synopsis: The RT bus is tested vigorously before setting out on the road for the first time. Here we see several stages - the chassis being loaded onto the engine, and rain tests. This testing is done at the London Transport Works, Aldenham. The bus is measured inside and out, by hand and by machine, to ensure that it is regulation size. Then the engine is inspected from underneath using an inspection pit. The bus is then weighed and tilt tested before setting off for its first journey.
