BFI synopsis: A party of twenty two miners and some of their wives visit Paris and are seen leaving London , having a tour of Paris including the Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame. They are also seen visiting the French colliery Heinin-Lietard near Douai, Pas De Calais. - Researcher Comments
- According to bfi sources footage for this story was meant to be filmed on the 5th August 1948, however the crew could not work because the pit was gaseous. Instead the Centre National de la Cinematographie Francaise supplied footage from ‘Mineurs de France’.
