Summary
NoS Summary - new type of fire hose is demonstrated by the Parisian Fire Brigade.
British Pathe synopsis: "And a very fine jet, too, is the one this new Paris Fire Brigade can fling to the sky" M/S of a group of firemen preparing their fire engine. There is a large hose on top of the fire engine which is lowered into the Seine. Low angle M/S of two firemen attaching a pump mechanism to the fire engine. C/U of part of the machinery of the jet hose. Man winds a circular handle. C/U of two firemen operating the jet. "Two hundred and sixty feet throw a "beau jet" indeed" L/S of the men directing their hose into the sky. L/S of the hose in operation - Notre Dame Cathedral seen in the background.
