British Pathe synopsis: "Power! Power in the rushing waves - the flowing rivers - the dashing falls -" Low angle of waves crashing onto the shore. M/S of a waterfall with trees in the foreground. High angle of a fast flowing river. "After many years an Inventor has produced this ingenious water-power model." High angle shot of machinery in operation. C/U of man holding part of the water processing machinery. "He claims the machine will be invaluable in generating power for pumps, etc. in low lying land, as it can be used in shallow waters." High angle of the machine moving. C/U of designer proudly holding a piece of his invention.
"And here’s a new speed machine!" High angle shot of a large speed boat being moved through the air on a pulley system. "Finned like a fish, propelled like a hydroplane, it can hit nearly 80 miles an hour." M/S of the boat speeding through the water. C/U of the side fins as the water rushes past. Point of view shot from the front of the boat as it moves at speed through the water. Point of view shot from the back of the boat and the side. "They call it a hydrofoil boat." L/S of the boat moving towards the camera at high speed. As the boat gets closer we can see the cameraman sitting in the boat with his camera
