British Pathe synopsis: "A hundred years ago, Eve’s skirts were a hundred inches round the hem, and running a lost art - " "Today, the crinoline is the lost article and running "shorts" the vogue - " Panning shot of girls in running shorts and sports tops. They have their arms around each other and smile for the camera. M/S of girls running past the camera. They run towards the camera. "On the road - over the fences - it’s all the same to these athletic Eves - " L/S of women hurdlers - they approach the camera in a hurdling race. Closer shot of the girls as they jump the hurdles - we see this in slow motion. M/S of the girls as they break the tape. M/S of cross country runners jumping over a ditch. Seen in real time, then in slow motion. More shots of the girls as they jump over a low fence - again in slow motion.
