Story

Summary
NoS Summary - Young girls practice ballet steps en masse on a roof top.
British Pathe synopsis: "From 6 to 12 (years) - future stars of the "Great White Ways" of the world." High angle shot of a group of young girls doing synchronised exercises on the roof of a large building. They wear white dresses. Side view of the girls doing high kicks then another high angle of them doing a tap routine holding their skirts off and showing their knickers. "As refreshing in their youthfulness as a Spring day." The girls dance in a conga line ranging from tall girls at the front to the tiddlers at the back. Low angle shot of the girls as they kick their legs out. High angle shot of the high kick line (some of the girls look a bit older than 12). High angle shot of the girls doing cartwheels - this time they wear bathing suits. "Twinkle toes up-to-date." The ballet teacher appears and dances with some of the younger girls who are linked into a circle. "Fast little steppers of the Junior League." C/U of the girls’ feet as they dance in little flat ballet shoes. M/S of the line of girls.
