Summary
NoS Summary - a large bird colony on a rock face in the Northern Baltic.
British Pathe synopsis: "A lonely peak in the Northern Baltic, home of a myriad feathered residents..." Moving L/S and M/S of rocks from the sea. Birds wheel around the crags. "The invader..." C/U of steam coming out of a boat’s whistle. This frightens the birds and they all fly away from the rocks. The camera follows the birds as they fly around. "Goodness knows why the inhabitants want to build their homes in such exposed places, unless it is because of unpleasant memories of other invasions..." M/S of gulls nesting in the rocks. C/U of a gull landing on a nest. "Climbing this steep face is a ticklish job - without even the aid of a rope." L/S of man climbing up the side of the rock face. He carries a long pole. "One slip here and your return ticket’s wasted." Birds circle around the rocks. We see our climber, difficult to ascertain what he is doing with his long pole.
