Summary
NoS Summary - churchgoers in their Sunday Best in the Black Forest.
British Pathe synopsis: "Just after 6 o’c - very early in the morning - finds the ladies of the Black Forest en route for church -" L/S of men and women on their way to church in their Sunday best. M/S - camera pans to show young women in smart dresses and hats. Closer shot, the girls smile. "The different styles of hats indicate the districts from whence the Church-goers come - " Camera follows two elderly women who walk past the camera. A young girl walks past with an older woman, the young girl carries a bunch of flowers. They smile at the camera. "Mother - with knobs on -" Elderly woman wearing a hat with large pom poms passes the camera. Lots of other people pass the camera wearing different style outfits. Some very traditional, others less so. Some women arrive on bicycles. "And after the Service - a little gathering for chatting (and a little scandal, perhaps!)" High angle shot of the churchgoers - a very large turnout. Children look at the camera.
