Summary
NoS Summary - New fashions are modelled on a German beach
British Pathe synopsis: "Like Britain, Germany’s Beaches should be brighter than ever this season, if only the sun obliges -" M/S of a group of girls on a beach in Germany. Two wear swimsuits, one a long floral dress and three wear T-shirts and trousers. They walk towards the camera. Another group of young people walk along the beach, they are all in swimsuits - two men and six girls. M/S of the group sitting on the sand in a circle throwing a ball to each other. The camera moves around the circle from inside it showing each of the girls. The group then walk away from the camera with their arms around each others’ shoulders. "These are the latest in Beach and Bathing garments - " C/U of a girl in a backless swimsuit putting a record on a wind up gramophone. C/U of two girls in very large floppy hats, floaty baggy trousers and little tops. C/U of two women modelling outfits - nautical style tops (one has a cross over detail). "For the really ultra-smart - the step outs can step in these - " M/S of some smarter day wear - below the knee skirts with matching short sleeved jackets. One of the models takes off her long skirt to reveal shorts underneath. The other model lifts her legs to show that in fact, her skirt is culottes. Two other girls model shorts. Five girls in floaty trousers and jaunty tops and hats pass the camera. One carries a parasol.
