British Pathe synopsis: "To be precise, Spalding, Lincolnshire, where acres of glass shield rich, glowing "harvests" reads the introductory intertitle. Panning shots of women picking daffodils inside a greenhouse. C/U of the women as they pick the flowers very carefully. "Day after day the work goes on, cutting, tying, and NoSling the flowers." C/Us of the workers. Low angle shot of the girls walking towards the camera carrying buckets of flowers. Unusual moving shot from high angle of the girls walking along carrying daffodils in their hands. They turn off into the packing sheds. "A few moments later and the packing sheds swallow them up - for speed is the essence of supply here." Large number of women sit at benches in the shed. Various shots of the flowers being sorted and tied into bunches. A guiding device is used to arrange the flowers in attractive staggered bunches. C/U of flowers being placed in boxes.
