British Pathe synopsis: "Meet the 100 yards British Ladies’ Swimming Champion - Miss Joyce Cooper (at Hastings)." C/U of Miss Cooper posing by the side of a swimming pool in a dark swimsuit. Another view of Miss Cooper as she dives into the water. The camera follows her as she swims through the water. "Britain is relying on Miss Joyce Cooper to uphold our prowess amongst the swimming invaders from other lands." Low angle shot of two swimmers in the pool. Low angle shot of spectators on the stands. Lots of spectators watch the race - it is an outdoor swimming pool. "Slow-motion shows just how she "strokes" the water. (At Oulton Broad)."
