Summary
NoS Summary - Corn harvest in Bavaria - men and women work together.
British Pathe synopsis: Bavaria. "Harvest time, when all hands bend to the great task of gathering in the produce of sun and earth - " M/S of man cutting corn by hand with a scythe. "Even though Adam does most of the hard work, Eve is a valuable helpmate." M/S of a woman and a man working together. Two women gather up the cut corn. Various shots of men and women working in the field to gather the crop. They use very basic hand tools. M/S of man and woman stacking the sheaves. "Sometimes the camera catches unexpected "shots". A couple of sheaves are moved and this reveals a kissing couple. M/S of sheaves being stacked on a cart which is led by two oxen. Low angle of the sheaves being lifted up to the top of the cart and stacked by a woman who is standing on top. Closer shot of woman stacking the sheaves. "And home goes the harvest - the day is done." The cart is led along a country road.
