Summary
NoS Summary - A ghostly figure of a woman walks the high wire and dances in the sea.
British Pathe synopsis: "Fresh air - and frolicsome shadows on the screen." By use of a camera trick (optical printing?) an image of a woman walking a tightrope is duplicated so that several clones seem to walk across the high wire in succession. The images are superimposed over a background of clouds moving through the sky. "There’s something about a cloud-hung sky that seems to take you right out of yourself." Another camera trick is used so that the woman seems to freeze on the rope then walk out as a ghostly figure leaving her body behind. This happens again and again. "Nymphs of the sky and the sea - ghost shadows of our dream-camera." L/S of waves crashing on the beach. Images of a woman dancing across the screen are superimposed. The woman dances in slow motion - all very dream like and wonderful.
