Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "One of the chief enemies of Eve’s clothing is the moth - depending for safety in its caterpillar stage upon a safety-first thread..." C/U of a caterpillar climbing on a twig. "Sometimes sports a bristly fur - a bluff -" C/U of a furry caterpillar. It is prodded with a stick. "Eve’s enemy flavours his cocoon with his poisonous bristles - and is left severely alone - " C/U of caterpillar building a cocoon. "Springtime - when his lifetime of 18 days on the wing begins - " C/U of the moth. "The Cecropia moth (tropical) drying his wings - " Another moth, seen from the side, opens and closes his wings. "But, it’s a good job this fellow doesn’t get into Eve’s wardrobe - the Atlas Moth of India, largest night-flier in the world." Huge scary moth is shown on a branch, a man’s arm is shown in the shot to contrast its size - enormous! The moth is bigger than a human hand. The moth is then held in the hand. It moves its wings.
