Summary
NoS Summary - baby birds and a kitten that drinks from a bottle.
NoS synopsis: "It’s never too early to start eating" is the motto of baby Kestrel, not a bit afraid of the girl who feeds her." reads the introductory intertitle. C/U of a woman feeding the baby bird. C/U of the scrawny bird sitting on her arm. The woman hand feeds the bird. "Pussy has exactly the same opinion - even though in this case, it’s a drink." C/U of a teenage girl cradling a cat in her arms. The cat wears a little babies bonnet - a bit bizarre! The cat is drinking from a babies bottle. C/Us of the cat suckling at the bottle. "Then we must call on the Starlings." said Mr. Head the Naturalist "and see how the family is getting on - " "Busy though Mother Starling is, they hate an obvious and noisy Cinema Camera - so a "hide" has to be made -" Low angle shots of the strange hide which is on top of a house roof. We see the camera lens poking out through the black fabric. "What a day for the parents - a constant stream of grubs, worms and insects! How gardeners must bless Starlings!" C/U of Starling with a worm in its mouth - it perches on the roof guttering and then takes off. We see the birds coming and going with food in their mouths. The nest is presumably under the roof tiles. "As they get older they get bolder - (just like human beings!)" C/U of Starling feeding baby birds who peek out from under the roof tiles. "And when you take the roof off - what a family! Poor Ma and Pa hardly know what to do to keep them supplied with food. (Thank goodness no clothes are needed.)" C/U of the nest after a tile has been removed - lots of babies.
